Gold Mastery Immersion
and
Certification Academy Explained

I.   INTENSE IMMERSION ACADEMY for the entire week at the workshop:

During the week at the workshop and certification you literally throw yourself into the Strategic Management topic. So, do not plan many evening outside events. You are here to learn in the evening too—it is a vital part of the intense immersion.

The first 2½ days are the workshop itself. Those staying for Thursday's and Friday’s Certification sign up on Monday on what is their two most important learnings. Then, they facilitate an hour’s discussion of one of them for all the other participants on Thursday or Friday (“Adults learn best by doing”).

In addition to your presentation, you also coach one other participant on their presentation—forcing you to learn a second topic more in-depth.

Thus, the Immersion starts on Monday during the day when you start paying more attention to your desired learning and continues all week.

The facilitation of approximately 10 sessions covering the entire course is done a second time on Thursday and Friday.  We end at 1:00 P.M. on Friday with box lunches provided.

Why a second time for this Immersion?

Question:  How do adults learn?

“Adults learn best by doing” —which is what the last 2 days of the week are all about. The participant facilitation process covers three areas:

#1.  The main three points of the topic (content).

#2.  The process and sequence of how to use it (process and back home implementation).

#3.  The main issues and problems you might face.

Once these are presented and facilitated in 30 minutes by you, then the course instructors get involved for the next 20 minutes to ensure the correct learning and “tacit” knowledge of how it works in the real world is revealed and reinforced.

In the last five minutes of your session, you are fed back observation on your strengths and weaknesses of how you performed.  No matter what your skill level, you get feedback to take you to the next higher skill level.

If you take notes on what the other nine Participant Facilitation topics are, then you have a tremendous comprehensive resource for back home implementation; reference and reinforced.

THAT IS WHAT IS KNOWN AS IMMERSION—EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING AT ITS BEST!

II. CERTIFICATION ACADEMY:

These workshops and certifications are led by Steve Haines, the world’s foremost authority on Strategic and Systems Thinking.  He has written over 13 books on Strategic and Systems Thinking and its practical Strategic Management applications. Steve’s Centre is the only Executive Level consulting and training firm that has a comprehensive set of Systems Thinking Concepts as its full foundation and approach.

The Centre has 38 Certified Global Partners and Affiliates with offices around the world (including 15 North American Certified Partners Business alone). Our Strategic and Systems Thinking concepts are rapidly spreading worldwide—where Systems Thinking is more accepted that in the USA.

The North American culture is often a piecemeal analytic, engineering, and mechanistic approach. It makes it even harder to try and make sense out of our living, human, organic systems, “the natural way the world works.”

Steve was an engineer in his earlier life and knows both Systems Thinking and Analytical Thinking as a U.S. Naval Academy Leadership and Strategy graduate.

This is a highly respected Certification in the Management, Planning, Finance, Change, Quality, Communications, Organizational Development, HR, and HRD fields. However, it is NOT tied to any university, although our concepts and material are used by a number of them—including as a capstone part of the Masters Course at Antioch University and their “Whole Systems” Masters Degree.

We have conducted this Certification once a year by Steve Haines—for the past ten years.  The Centre was founded in 1990—and Steve ran University Associates (UA) before that. We prefer NOT to Certify too many people each year so we set maximum limits. We certify internal staff, future Centre Business Partners and Affiliates, as well as external consultants and trainers.

Our primary business is CEO level consulting.  We use our Systems Thinking Approach with all our Strategic Management work with our clients (Strategic Planning—Leadership—HR—Change).

Our Strategic Management Applications include:

  1. Building A Culture Of Excellence Performance Excellence

  2. Reinventing Strategic Planning

  3. Leading Enterprise-Wide Change

  4. Creating the People Edge

  5. Achieving Leadership Excellence

  6.  Becoming Customer Focused

  7. Aligning Delivery and Distribution

  8. Creating Customer Value

All of these applications are covered in the different workshops we conduct.  Certification obviously covers them in further detail (both the what and how).

STAY FOR THE IMMERSION AND LEARNING

AND

WALK AWAY WITH THE CERTIFICATION

Hope this helps you understand our philosophy on Immersion and Certification.

Warmly,

Steve Haines
